Hanoi for Families
Vietnam seems to stretch itself out into an elongated “S” shape that hugs the Indochinese Peninsular. On the west it borders China, Laos and Cambodia; and on the east are endless miles of shoreline. Although only the size of Italy, its great length lends it huge diversity in terrain, from soaring mountains to forests and flat plains, all the way to its famous beaches.
Hanoi has been the capital of Vietnam since the year 1010. As such it’s the economic, cultural and social centre of the country.
As you walk around Hanoi you’ll spot the strong French Colonial influence in the architecture; a window looking back to the French occupation of Vietnam. But there are also tons of Pagodas and temples that show off it’s true heritage.
